Day 6 - Beijing 2022 Australian Preview

All eyes will be on the men’s snowboard cross team today where we have a number of high profile racers who are all capable of contending. Jarryd Hughes is defending silver medallist from PyeongChang 2018.

The men’s skeleton starts today for rounds 1 and 2, where they race head first down the course, lookout for Australian Nick Timmings.

Monobob training is scheduled today and we have a great competitor in Bree Walker, a serious medal contender if she can maintain her pace. It will be interesting to see her training times.

Cross Country skiing sees Jessica Yeaton and Casey Wright both in action again in the 10km classic.

The women’s halfpipe final is on today but Emily Arthur did not qualify.

In figure skating Brendan Kerry will perform in the free skating.

Qualification for Australia’s strong men’s team, a total of 32 riders vying for top 16 spots to reach the final.

Progression: The 16 first ranked athletes after Run 1 (including all tied for rank 16) will be seeded according to their ranking, the rest will start Seeding Run 2. In Seeding Run 2 all athletes will be seeded according to their ranking (best of 2 runs).
