Famous for the Big Trout located in the centre of town, Adaminaby is a small town that offers main access to Lake Eucumbene in summer for lake activities and in particular fishing, plus during winter is the closest town to Selwyn Snow Resort.

The town centre hosts the Snowy Scheme Museum, the Adaminaby Supermarket, the Snow Goose Hotel, the Bakery Adaminaby, the Small Fry café, and the arts and craft op shop.

Adaminaby is ideal for the northern Kosciuszko attractions and is the closest town to historic Kiandra ruins. The small villages of Anglers Reach and Old Adaminaby are on the Lake Eucumbene foreshore.
