The Final Amazing Race Show at Thredbo

The Snowy Mountains have seen plenty of air time on TV shows in recent days, and now Thredbo will be highlighted in the final episode of The Amazing Race.

Viewers will know the show has been filmed in various regions across Australia, and now Thredbo and the Snowy Mountains will be showcased to the nation.

In this episode you will see the the top 3 teams chopper to Thredbo from Canberra. One team member must climb out of the chopper on a rope ladder, where the clue is half way down, then jump into the freezing cold water below of the snowmaking pond near the entrance to Thredbo Village. And we all know the water temperature even in summer is on the chilly side of pleasant.

For their next challenge, teams will take a gondola to Friday Flat, Thredbo's beginner ski area in winter. Together, they must take the super-sized slip and slide down the hill and collect several fags along the way. Once they have collected all flags, they’ll receive their next clue.

Host Beau Ryan is seen on the previews standing atop of Thredbo at the famous Thredbo Bell, so we can assume contestants may need to ring the bell for something, just like skiers in the winter who ring the bell to say they have reached Australia’s highest lifted point at 2037m. Perhaps the altitude may see the contestants gasping for air, who knows…..

Although the cowboys are looking at the winter signage board, it will be interesting to see how they decipher the runs and terrain without snow if that is what is required.

All can be revealed Tonight ON Channel 10 fore the final The Amazing Race episode.

So be sure to watch and see Thredbo highlighted, and for winter visitors to see what the mountain looks like in the summer.

With school holidays and Easter approaching, there is still time to book a holiday in the mountains, and the weather is forecast to be great. See the accommodation guides here in each town.

Enjoy the TV show tonight at 7.30pm and the Snowy Mountains if you are visiting.
