Snowy Monaro Regional Trails Masterplan Survey

We need your local knowledge!

The Snowy Monaro Regional Trails Masterplan will identify sustainable trail opportunities on Council land which have the greatest potential to create benefits for the community, economy and environment. The success of this project relies on contributions from the community.

The Snowy Monaro Regional Council is working with specialist trail planners at Tredwell Management to develop the Regional Trails Masterplan.

The project aims are to:

- Create a positive & collaborative culture for all users

- Strengthen the perception of the Snowy Mountains region as a destination of choice for mountain biking, cycling, trail running and walking

- Determine the optimal visitor trail experiences & iconic tourism opportunities

- Increase visitation that contributes positively to the local economy

- Enhance the sustainability & liveability for local communities.

A key component of this project is to further explore and assess the feasibility of a ‘Round the Lake’ option for the Lake Jindabyne Shared Trail.

The survey will be open until COB Friday 7 April 2021.

You are encouraged to also utilise the Mapping Tool to share feedback, suggestions or comments which relate to specific locations about existing or potential future trails.
