Thredbo TVT Ride

When it comes to a scenic ride in the region, the Thredbo Valley Track is an experience you must embark on.

The picturesque trail stretches all the way from Thredbo to Gaden Trout Hatchery near Jindabyne for the ultimate 35-kilometre adventure, or for a more leisurely and beginner-friendly option you can ride the upper 18km section from Thredbo Resort to Lake Crackenback Resort, or shorter 14.5km distance to Thredbo Diggings.

If you don’t have your own bike Thredbo Rentals has everything you need to rent from kids bikes to cross-country and e-bikes. Choosing an e-bike is a great option for an added boost on the uphill sections of trail!

The upper 18km section ride will take about two hours and you can arrange for the Thredbo shuttle to pick you up and return you to the village.

The trail winds its way along the Thredbo River and over picturesque suspension bridges through thick eucalyptus forests. The terrain is mixed with rocky and rooty sections, short uphills – where the e-bike really comes into its own- and a few nice flowing berms added into the mix.

Along the way there’s plenty of nice spots to explore including the Ngarigo campground which is the perfect place to stop off for a picnic and a swim in the river.

The trail continues on to Thredbo Diggings campground, which is another nice place to take a dip in the Thredbo River on a sunny day.
