SAP Community Advisory Group Expressions of Interest

The 40-year vision of the $391.3 million Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precinct (SAP) continues to progress with the establishment of a new Community Advisory Group (CAG).

The Department of Planning and Environment responsible for the Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precinct (SAP) master plan are now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Community Advisory Group (CAG) members during the delivery phase of the SAP.

The advisory groups would comprise of a variety of local organisations and community representatives to represent the broad array of interests that need to be considered throughout the delivery planning process in shaping the future of the region.

Member for Monaro, Nichole Overall says this next step is important in seeing the continued advancement of the project.

“With the Masterplan finalised, the budget confirmed and the delivery phase now underway, this visionary and exciting initiative is moving forward,” said Mrs Overall.

“The CAG is an opportunity to provide regular updates, get community feedback and make use of local connections for the greater benefit of this incredible project.”

“Promoting new business, local investment, new infrastructure and services is going to generate so much opportunity and realise potential for our entire region. It’s critical we continue to have community input to help drive this.”

There will be two groups and people will be able to nominate which CAG best represents their organisation/community group:

  • Jindabyne – that will cover both the Growth and Catalyst precincts
  • Alpine – that will cover issues relating to the Alpine region only in Kosciuszko National Park
