Jindabyne Bushpigs Keep Winning Streak Alive

THE Jindabyne Bushpigs have kept their winning streak alive with a comprehensive 40-5 victory over Hall in their final regular season home game.

In a dominating performance the team have won their opening 11 games. They are away next weekend to the Braidwood Redbacks and will be looking for another victory to seal the minor premiership.

After the final round the Bushpigs will then have their eyes squarely on the semi finals and hopefully a home grand final. The Bushpigs now sit atop the ladder on 54 points, three points clear of Crookwell.

On Saturday their first half performance was strong with Billy Small opening the try account bustling over from close range, much to the delight of the crowd as he hoisted the ball into the air for a personal celebration. A penalty try in the 40th minute had the local side in front and they never looked back.

Although in the second half they were scrappy with numerous dropped balls, they continued on their try fest running in another four. Rixon and Vernon added to the tally before Fin Chatten went seeking most flamboyant try of the season as he swan dived over in the 65th minute. Norman scored in the 75th and overall Dylan Johnson converted four times.

After a few weeks off the boys will be better for the run and looking forward to the next round to fine tune their game for the finals.

Miss Piggies Win At Home

In the Miss Piggies game versus Hall Bushrangers the home girls ran away with a fine victory 34-7.

The girls showed plenty of spirit with good defence and the ability to break tackles in attack which led to runaway to several runaway scoring opportunities. The Miss Piggies sit fourth on the ladder marginly in front of Bungendore. They play away next week to Uni-North Owls at ANU North Oval.
