The Man from Snowy River Challenge is the showcase event of the Festival. Through a series of events set to test the most gifted and skilled horse and rider teams we endeavor to find the modern-day Man from Snowy River.

Rodeo, Working dogs, bush markets, whipcrack, equine education, feature cutout, open campdraft, ute muster, historic machinery, hotrods, Riley's Ride, live music on multiple stages, Poets and Bush Music, street parade, trade stalls and Extreme Broncs.

Plus the Re-enactment of the colt from old regret that got away.

Highlight of the show for many is the MFSR Re-enactment of Banjo Paterson’s epic poem.
