Cooma Monaro Railway Museum Jan 3
Article Info
03 January 10:00am - 3:00pm
Bradley Street, Cooma

RAILWAY enthusiasts will be in their element after the official opening in December 2022 of the Cooma Monaro Railway Museum.

Housed in the beautifully restored Cooma Railway Station building, the railway museum is the culmination of over five years of hard work from volunteers and is the first major milestone in the development of the museum.

Extensive repairs and restoration work at the station has restored the Station Master’s Office (restored to an 1890’s configuration), the Waiting Room and the Signal Box all now available for viewing.

Visitors can roam the railway precinct and take a moment back in time to what train travel would have been like in Cooma, including weighing in your luggage via the platform scales. The Parcel Room and Refreshment Room house great memorabilia and history displays.

Cooma Railway Station, Bradley Street, Cooma
