Perisher Valley Fire Station hosts an open day where you can pick up a show bag and a free fire helmet for the kids. A fun day for the whole family with close-up viewing of fire trucks and equipment.

New this Easter, the Berridale Art Trail features five locations across the township and more than 12 diverse, local artists. Visit the BerriHub, where Pauline Syron-Coxon and Erin Felthorne will display, Martin Bannister’s studio and see Alex Corby’s sculptures at the Berridale Inn.

Berridale Lions Park comes alive for the annual Easter Fair, and while the Easter Bunny is the main attraction for the kids seeking chocolates, the whole family can peruse stalls and markets and enjoy the festivities. Browse garden, clothing and tasty treats, listen to live music and admire the Cooma Car Clubs' vintage and classic cars.
The family will enjoy the Adaminaby Easter Fair, where children can join in the tug-of-war, watermelon eating competition, and the very popular trout tossing (plastic).
Spectators enjoy watching the dog high jump and the amazing heights the dogs can leap, and the ‘Wacky Quacky Duck Race’ at 2.30pm is full of excitement.
More than 1,300 plastic ducks are raced through the town’s stormwater channel with $1,500 prize money up for grabs. Purchase your duck for $3.
Plus, the Easter Bunny makes an afternoon with chocolate gifts.

Jindabyne’s Memorial Hall hosts the annual Lions Club Easter Art Show and Sale, starting with the Thursday night (6-9pm) opening and awards.
The four-day show features works by local and contributing artists, including landscape and abstract water, oil, and acrylic paintings; drawings; impressive photography; and a mix of craft creations.

The Lake Light Sculpture is Jindabyne’s flagship event, and in 2026 will celebrate its 25th year. The exhibition of inspiring sculptures is on display along the Lake Jindabyne Foreshore, both during the day and illuminated by night.
This year, the Small Sculptures will be housed in a marquee in Banjo Paterson Park, plus fireworks on Saturday night.

Thredbo has something for everyone at any time of the year, and Easter is packed with activities. The Kids Easter Adventure Festival combines the best parts of outdoor recreation, including treasure hunts, arts and crafts, rock climbing, face painting, and more. Ride the Merritts Gondola for a chance to win a Lindt chocolate pack, join in the bike or hike challenge or enjoy the Thredbo Leisure Centre. Saturday afternoon, Department of Noise will play for free at the Alpine Bar from 2.30 to 5.30pm. On Easter Sunday, Rowdy, Thredbo’s Easter Bunny, will be hopping on the Village Green at 10.30am for the famous egg scavenge.
Friends of the Earth will be hosting the 2nd snow gum summit in mid March at Horizons Lake Jindabyne.
The Summit will bring people together from across the Australian Alps bioregion spanning Victoria, NSW and the ACT, to address the threats facing these iconic landscapes we all know and love.
There will also be some day walks on the Monday March 16.

The annual Numeralla Folk Festival is held on the nearest weekend to Australia Day every January. A dedicated band of community volunteers ensure that the campgrounds and Hall are ready, the kitchen is ready to provide home-cooked meals and goodies, the bar is stocked, and the BBQ will be sizzling.
Numeralla takes great pride in being one of the last traditional festivals in Australia. There are no tickets and you don’t have to book – and the camping is completely free – just turn up! It’s a long weekend of music, dance, dips in the river, yarns around the campfire and convivial conversation.

Step it up for a great cause! This will be the fifth time we walk to the top of Mt Kosciuszko in memory of much-loved midwife Torie Finnane. Help us celebrate not only Torie’s memory but the incredible health workers who support women and babies when they need it most.
The Torie Finnane Foundation works to back midwives and special care nursery staff across regional NSW. In 2026, funds raised from the walk will help deliver a centralised foetal monitoring system supporting midwives right across Southern NSW. This area includes Goulburn, Bega, Yass, Thredbo and surrounding areas. This critical system will help care for more than 3,000 women and babies every year while easing the load on doctors and hospitals.
This is a true family-friendly day out, as we welcome all ages and demographics to participate. All registered walkers will receive a TFF Water Bottle, TFF t-shirt, TFF trucker hat, post-walk BBQ/drinks and Thredbo Lift Pass.
There will be a post-walk BBQ on the Keller Concourse where food and drinks will be provided.

We’re calling it creative drinking - Grab your mates and settle in for an afternoon of paint, laughs and a few cheeky sips.
You don’t need experience (promise) - Netty will guide you through step by step, and you’ll walk away with a masterpiece of your own… or at least something to hang in the shed.

Each race wraps up in the vibrant mountain village of Thredbo, creating a festival atmosphere for runners and supporters. As part of the UTMB World Series, this event offers running stones for Mont-Blanc qualification and is a Western States qualifier. Whether you're a first-time trail runner or an ultra-veteran, Kosci promises an unforgettable adventure!
