RESORTS will both welcome and be grateful for the next snowfall, with predictions of plus 20cm in most areas, and possibly over 35cm on higher elevations.

After a great week of cold temperatures where all resorts had their snowmaking systems running at maximum capacity when temperatures allowed, this next snowfall will be well timed.

Those arriving for the second week of snow holidays will see snow falling from Saturday night through to later Monday evening.

This will allow resorts to open more terrain and spread the busy holiday crowds across more of the mountain.

To be fair to all resorts, they have done a great job with the limited snow so far this season. But from Monday it looks much better for the near future.

With temps dipping to -7°C, the snowmaking team had another big night and the guns are still cranking this morning. It should be a mostly sunny day on the mountain - so make the most of it before the front rolls in.

Winds are forecast to be northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h, becoming light in the middle of the day.

The groomers will be skiing and riding really nicely this morning with the fresh man made snow.

Yesterday, the Happy Valley T-Bar opened, bringing our total to 15 lifts, and that's what's scheduled to run today. As always, be the first to know by downloading the Perisher App, and keep an eye on the lift status report for real-time updates as lifts may open up throughout the day.

We've got the Rossignol and Elan crew at the base of Front Valley today and tomorrow, so if you're after something new this season, come test out the latest skis. And for entertainment, head to Jax Bar from 11am-2pm to check out Vibe Duo, awarded Sydney's best cover band in 2025.

Looking ahead, the weather is set to turn tomorrow, with high winds and snow developing later in the day. The storm should bring snow to low levels through to early next week. Keep an eye on the forecast and stay tuned as even more lifts and terrain could open up!

Pulpit T Bar AND Kosi Triple Chair to the TOP now OPEN

After a big night of snowmaking again we are heading for a sunny day ahead  so don’t forget the sunscreen.

Pulpit T Bar has made it’s season debut opening up even more terrain for all to enjoy. The Kosi Triple Chair is OPEN to Mid Station for some nice snow for the beginner and intermediate skiers and boarders and the Chair is open to the top for the advanced. First timers can have a lot of fun on the Kosi Carpet.

We are expecting favourable snowmaking weather to continue so it is looking good for more terrain to open at the resort over the coming days plus a snowy change is expected on the weekend to add to the snow cover.

Today, skiers and boarders can jump on New Chum Chair for some nice conditions plus Wes’s Wonderful Carpet for the first timers and kids and tobogganers.

A snowy change is expected over the weekend and this will help the snow cover and allow us to hopefully start to open even more lifts in the coming days.
