Thredbo Experiences All Winter Long

Friendships, partying, skiing, snowboarding, and lifetime experiences are why ‘Thredbo’s Still Better’ from day one to season close.

Their new catchline, 'Thredbo's Still Better' will start from the June opening weekend when the season-long Thredbo party shifts into overdrive mode. The village comes alive with on-mountain activities, live painting from Grassi Kelaher, face painting, plus more for the kids, and après often starts earlier than usual for the adults.

Australia’s biggest après will kick into gear on Saturday, June 7, with the double act of Dave Winell from 3.30pm followed by Hot Dub Time Machine from 5.30pm. As the latter set gains momentum, all eyes will be sky- bound for the Saturday night traditional 6pm fireworks.

On Saturday evening from 5pm to 8pm in the newly renovated Schuss Bar, the Thredbo Alpine Museum will host Brad Spalding from Wildbrumby Distillery as he talks about the history of Ski Instructing in Thredbo.  Brad is a former Thredbo Ski School Director and will talk about the history dating back to 1957. Book to attend here.

On Sunday, June 8, book ahead for Thredbo’s Long Lunch, an institution for the Thredbo faithful where Pommery champagne will not only be flowing by the glass but popping by the bottle.

The blessing of the snow at the Thredbo Chapel wishes everyone a safe, happy, and prosperous season. Hopefully, a season filled with glorious skiing and snowboarding memories.

With the opening festivities out of the way, planning should commence for more great times.

Thredbo’s Alpine Experiences have shone brightly since their introduction, with guests relishing the added touches that define Thredbo.

Sunrise sessions can’t be matched, with a snowcat ride to watch the sunrise, indulge in breakfast at Eagles Nest restaurant before being the envy of all other guests as you score first tracks down the mountain.

Kareela is a favourite restaurant during the day, but more so on Wednesday night during peak season. Ride in a snowcat after dark to this iconic restaurant for the ultimate evening destination and a 4-course gourmet dining experience.

Elevate your Saturday night après in Thredbo style with a gondola ride before being transported via snowcat to Kareela for the Supper Club. From the deck, experience an all-new perspective of Thredbo’s renowned flare run and fireworks show from the slopes, accompanied by Pommery Champagne and canapes.

Dining is integral with Thredbo visits, and the Merritts Mountain Haus Feast is an unforgettable experience for the whole family. Ride the Merritts Gondola for a Bavarian-inspired feast, with spectacular views of Thredbo Village by night.

Add the enjoyment of your skiing and snowboarding exploits, and where would you rather be?
