Porcupine Rocks Hike

www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au
Kosciuszko National Park via Perisher

Drive to Perisher and turn left between the Man from Snowy River Hotel and the Marritz Hotel, and then right past the Marritz Hotel and follow road to the pond.

From here good signage will lead you along an interesting single trail amongst the bushland with a climb in elevation. Spot the wildlflowers and admire the scenery along the way, including colourfull snowgums, but the real beauty is revealed at the very end when you reach Porcupine Rocks.

Here you will find panoramic views with vistas down to Lake Crackenback Resort, Skitube and Thredbo Valley.

On a windy day you can shelter from the breeze among the rocks for the most stunning of lunch spots or rise early and walk to meet the sunrise.

Allow 2 to 3 hours depending on how many stops you have and the trail is suitable for everyone with some level of fitness.
