Kosciuszko National Park Via Kosciuszko Road (Dainers Gap)

Located in the Kosciuszko National Park on the road to Perisher Valley, stop just before Dainers Gap and park.

Created in the early 1900s to supply water to the original Hotel Kosciuszko (now Sponars), which burnt down in 1951, you will often find that you have this secluded gem all to yourself.

This is a gentle one hour return 2.5km walk has slight inclines but it suitable for everyone.The trail passes through rolling hills, a snow gum forest, and alpine grasslands, leading to the picturesque and historic Rainbow Lake.

The majestic Rainbow Lake awaits where you will notice a timber structure reaching into the lake. The water will be fresh and the lake setting is ideal for a picnic.
