TRAVELLING to new destinations or on returning visits often involves finding new and interesting places to explore.

Since our first edition of the Snowy Mountains Magazine in October 2016, we have filled thousands of pages in the magazine with great ideas for capturing the best of the region’s travels. We have also published individual stories and the magazine's digital editions on our website.

This summer, we are introducing an exciting new concept, Snowy Road Trips, which will make exploring the region even easier.

Snowy Road Trips are targeted itineraries posted on our website to help you navigate the Snowy Mountains and showcase places you may not be aware of. Or even better, grouping several adventures in the same area so you can plan a whole road trip.

Itineraries will provide detailed information on where to go, when to go, and other relevant particulars so you can easily digest them for planning your day, weekend, or week-long holiday. Plus, we will make recommendations for accommodation and dining options.

This won’t be a one-off itinerary for each town, but an ongoing list that we continually add to every week and month. We will initially highlight key road trips for each area, and as we add more, we will promote new additions via social media to keep you updated.

Think of it as a work in progress that will never end.

Our website has been full of information for years. Now we are rebranding sections to make key information easier to find and, more importantly, to help you explore what we believe is one of the most iconic regions in Australia.

From climbing Kosciuszko, hiking across the region, mountain biking, water sports, exploring towns and visiting places of interest, there is a lot to see.

The Snowy Road Trips will factor in weather, distances, travel time, and photos of what you can expect to see. Pages will be designed with mobile use in mind, so you can easily access them while on the move to confirm you are at the correct location.

We hope you like this new idea and that the SnowyMagazine.com.au website becomes your hub for region-wide information in an easy-to-read, road trip informative style.
