MOUNTAIN bike riders love the concept of the Snowies MTB Festival, and after celebrating ten years in 2025, the event is back bigger than ever in February 2026.

Each stage has its own unique high-country character and terrain and includes the perfect mix of fast-flowing single track, downhill descents, undulating climbs, techy challenges and groomed trails, including 2,355m of vertical climbing and descending. If riding up hills and barrelling down descents at full speed tickles your fancy, it’s time to saddle up and immerse yourself in the Snowies High Country.
Happy hour time trials, the 19.5km uphill descent of the Thredbo Summit Smash, the Snowy Legends Descent, a 42km exhilarating roller coaster down the full length of the Thredbo Valley Track (TVT), and finally a 28.5km cross country to test your endurance. Yes, the Snowies MTB is a true test of your skill.
Race headquarters is at the Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort, the venue is an ideal base, and participants are offered a discount on accommodation.
