Elliott Way Closed Due To Large Landslip
This will affect traffic between the Tumbarumba and Kiandra. Access from Tumbarumba to O’Hares Campground is still possible, but the gate past O’Hares is locked as is the gate at the Link Road intersection near Cabramurra.
At this stage there is no timeframe for reopening until a geotechnical assessment can be undertaken. As shown in the photos there are some very large rocks in the embankment directly above the slip site that pose a risk.
NPWS is arranging a geotechnical engineer to attend site as soon as possible to advise on the appropriate works to make the site safe and trafficable.
