COMMUNITY members of Jindabyne acknowledged their outstanding citizens and businesses at their Australia Day citizen awards held at John Connors Oval today.
With the regular Banjo Paterson Park venue unavailable as it is currently flooded, attendees congregated at the oval under blue sky and warm temperatures accompanied by warm hospitality.
During the ceremony 10 awards were presented by Ambassador Ginny Stevens and former Snowy Monaro Regional Council Mayor, now councillor Peter Beer.
The 2022 Snowy Monaro Australia Day Ambassador Ginny Stevens was a finalist of the 2018 NSW-ACT AgriFutures Rural Women's Award and is founder of the Active Farmers charity and spoke at both Jindabyne and later at Cooma ceremonies.

Chris is a teacher at the Jindabyne Central School, president of the Jindabyne Rugby Union Club and has offered great input into the community.

Art and Culture - Patrick and Sue Edmondson
Environment Award - LAOKO - Accepted by Elena Guarracino
Special mention to Lions Club of Jindabyne and Nira Windeatt and all volunteers, The National Australia Day Council and Snowy Monaro Regional Council for all their efforts to make the day a memorable 2022 Australia Day.
