Chicks with Stix is a grass-roots organisation founded in 2010 in Australia by a group of like-minded, passionate snow loving chicks. This 2021 season the Chicks with Stix will be returning to Thredbo in August for a weekend to get girls together to learn new tricks and make new friends.
If you are a female who is confident on blue runs and looking to progress your skills, then these Chicks with Stix sessions are for you. Each session is based around the groups learning interests, so with both skiing and boarding, the sessions can get quite specific. This may include teaching a group some new tricks in the park or helping finesse skills. Other times, you may learn mogul technique, short turns, long turns and how to read a slope.
Our aim at Chicks with Stix is to provide encouragement and opportunities for girls who ski and snowboard by offering a chance to ride with some of the best female snow-sports athletes in Australia, and to have fun improving skills in the park, freestyle, slopestyle and big mountain. Find out more!
Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am to 1pm
Cost is free and available to high/intermediate female riders ski and board.
